Wilderness environments create special situations not usually encountered in an urban or suburban environment. This class audience is individuals from a broad range of backgrounds in the community and workplace who desire, or are occupationally required, to be trained to stop life-threatening bleeding. You will learn three quick techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out: (1) How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound; (2) How to pack a wound to control bleeding; (3) How to correctly apply a tourniquet.
